Yorkshire Coast and Moors
North Yorkshire Moors
The North York Moors national park is a wonderfully peaceful and unspoilt area which is popular with walkers. It has over a thousand miles of marked paths - including such iconic walks as the Cleveland Way.
The landscape varies from wild moors where the only sounds are the wind and wildlife - to secluded dales dotted with wild flowers.
It even has its own steam railway - The North Yorkshire Moors Railway - which operates a visitor service between Pickering and Grosmont.
North Yorkshire & Cleveland Heritage Coast
The North Yorkshire coast has been popular with visitors for many years. Scarborough has been a resort and spa since the 18th century.
There is fine walking along the tops of the windswept, majestic cliffs. At the foot of the cliffs are the delightful family resorts of Staithes, Runswick Bay, Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay.
